One the best new features in Adobe Photoshop CC is the Camera Raw Filter. This version of Photoshop uses Camera Raw 8.1 and allows you to use it as a filter on any Photoshop layer. By using it on Smart Objects as a Smart Filter you can work Non-Destructively when applying it to your images.
Using Camera Raw 8 as a Smart Filter

By using the Photoshop CC Camera Raw Filter you can make edits to your images that if done by the traditional Photoshop methods would require multiple adjustment layers and take a considerable amount of time, or force you to make the adjustments beforehand in Camera Raw standalone mode and not be able to adapt or change them in combination with your Photoshop adjustments easily.
In addition to being able to apply the Camera Raw Filter as a smart object this allows you to also control the blending mode applied, the opacity and even mask the adjustments that you have made in Camera Raw, giving you more power and control over you images that ever before in Photoshop CC. This is on of many new enhancements to the Photography workflow of Photoshop and why I am actually encouraging Photographers to move to Photoshop CC Rather than sticking to their current version of Photoshop.
